Baked Soya Nugget Pops Recipe | How To Baked Soya Nugget Pops

Soya is like a veg version of chicken for us :). Soya nuggets / chunks are very good source of protein.
This is very easy and very quick Recipe. No much preparation required and the final result is yummy yummy.

Soya chunks will increase in size when you soak. So don't take very big chunks.
This can be shallow or deep fried. But I tried baking this time and trust me it is as good as the fried version and of course guilt free :).
Let's quickly make this.

Healthy Soya Nugget/Chunks Pops
Serves: 3-4

Ingredients:
Marinate:
1 Cup Soya Bean Chunks
2 Cup Hot Water
1.5 tsp Soy Sauce
2 tsp Red Chilly Sauce
1 tsp Vinegar
Salt to taste

Batter:
1 Tbsp Corn Flour
1 Tbsp All Purpose Flour
1 Tbsp Sooji/Rava/Semolina
2 Tbsp Yoghurt
Water if required

Sauce:
1 Tbsp Oil
1/2 Tbsp Ginger finely Chopped
1/2 Tbsp Garlic finely Chopped
2 Green Chilly finely chopped
1/2 Tbsp Corn Flour
1/2 Cup Water
1 tsp Red Chilly Powder
1/2 Tbsp Soy Sauce
1 Tbsp Tomato Sauce
1/2 Tbsp Vinegar
1 tsp Sugar

Directions:
1.Soak the Soya Chunks in hot water for 10 minutes.
2.Squeeze extra water from soya chunks and keep in a bowl.
3.Add Soya Sauce,Red Chilly Sauce,Vinegar and salt to it. Mix well and keep aside to marinate for 10 to 15 minutes.

4.In a bowl mix together Corn Flour,All Purpose flour,Sooji/Rava/Semolina. Add Yoghurt to make a slightly thick batter.
It should nither be very runny nor very thick.Add water only if required.
5.Mix in the marinated soya chunks to this and keep for 5 minutes.

6.Preheat the oven at 180 degree for 10 minutes.
7.Bake Nuggets on both sides for 10-12 minute at 180 degree.

Sauce:
8.In a bowl combine Corn Flour,Water ,Red Chilly Powder,Soya Sauce,Tomato Sauce and keep aside
9.In a wide pan heat the oil.Add ginger garlic to it and saute for a minute.
10.Add green chilly,mixed sauces from step 8 ,sugar and vinegar to it and cook on low heat for 5 minutes.
11.When Sauce becomes thick,toss in soya pops and coat with sauce and switch off..
12.Garnish with coriander leaves/green onions.

Notes:
You can mix more flour for batter. I don't wanted nuggets to coat with more flour . So I have used less flours.
